Library Services Spotlight: Test Proctoring

TCPL offers test proctoring for students of all ages.  We have developed relationships with universities throughout the United States, in order to be certified to proctor all kinds of tests: online high school courses; real estate qualifying tests; banker promotional tests; and my favorite, a sailing captain’s qualifying test (with charts!)

As a point of clarity, we do not have immediate access to all requested exams from all universities.  At the same time that a student makes a test proctoring request, the student must ask his or her school instructor to provide proctor access to the test. Each school must contact the proctor with password access to the test- if an online exam- or an address confirmation-if a mailed exam. In either case, the school will require that the proctor is certified and agrees to proctor the student’s test.  Proctor affidavits may be necessary, new accounts established, etc. The point being that a proctor request does not ensure an immediate testing date.

If you are in need of the library’s Test Proctoring Services, please visit www.tcpl.org/research-learn/test-proctoring and www.tcpl.org/form/exam-proctoring-form , and submit the filled-out form. The Proctor Coordinator will email a response from proctor@tcpl.org .
