The Tompkins County Public Library Foundation sustains and strengthens our library by inspiring community support. The Foundation serves as a bridge between the library and the community, encouraging engagement through philanthropy and participation.
There are many ways you can support TCPL and become a Library Champion!
- Take part in our READATHON, our all-day read-out-loud fundraising event
- Join Team TCPL, by organizing your very own Library fundraiser with the help of Foundation staff
- Become a member of the Library Literati and enjoy events like the Library Speakeasy and Literary Virtual Trivia Night
- Adopt a Periodical and cover the costs of 1-3 year subscription for a publication library patrons want and need
- Set up a recurring gift, monthly or quarterly
- Make a tribute gift in honor or memory of a loved one or special occasion

Children are invited to practice their reading skills by sharing a story with a truly non-judgmental listener -- a dog! Reading sessions will be held Mondays from 3-4 p.m. Children who attend 6 sessions will earn a FREE book of their choice!

Teens are invited to the Makerspace for two hours of open-making time. Participants will have the opportunity to learn and use the Makerspace.
