Program Description

About this event:

Join local maker Laurence Clarkberg to learn how to make a lasercut wooden box using Adobe Illustrator illustration software.  Patrons in attendance will learn how to generate box plans, modify the plans using Adobe Illustrator's pen tool, add and trace artwork using Adobe Illustrator's trace tool, and prepare their file for lasercutting. Patrons can then use their Adobe Illustrator file to laser cut a box in a separate session during the library's makerspace open hours.

Participants are expected to be experienced with the following:
-Using the basic tools of the Mac operating system X.
-Using a keyboard and mouse.
-Accessing, saving, and importing files.

Class size is limited, and registration is required.  Please contact digital lab librarian Tom, tfredette@tcpl.org, with any questions.
