Program Description
About this event:
Joy. Sorrow. Loss. Love. Beauty. Wonder. Each life abounds in all of these, but so often we miss the full power and meaning of such experiences in today’s world of speed and distraction. This writing circle led by Cora Ellen Luke, offers participants guidance and opportunity to slow down, lower the volume of the inner critic’s voice, and write from the often-hidden depth and richness of their own lives. Each session also includes time for optional sharing in a circle of respect and encouragement that the group creates together.
Since 1990 Cora Ellen Luke has been designing and leading Core Creativity Circles with a focus on helping participants discover, value, and nurture creative expression. She is a published poet and singer-songwriter, and loves the fact that the creative spirit often springs out of loss and difficulty, offering the balm of deep connection with life, self, and others. Over the last twenty years she has worked as a mental health counselor and personal coach, and has led workshops on a variety of psychoeducational topics.
Registration is required and space is limited. Registration begins on August 13.
