Program Description
About this event:
Come learn in this lecture series from Cornell graduate students how clingy ticks, dairying ants and talking beetles interact with us and each other.
Have you ever wondered why cicadas sing, or how crickets make such a racket? This lecture on insect acoustic communication will teach you how to listen for "talking insects" local to Tompkins County. Specimens will be available to view under a microscope.
Annette Kang is a PhD student in Cornell's Entomology department studying interactions between soil, plants and insects.
