Take and Make STEAM Kits: Snowflake Penny Spinners!
Thank you for crafting with us! All of the current Take and Make kits at TCPL have been claimed and are unavailable at this time. Please check the Sciencenter for available kits. We're putting together a new Take and Make kit that will be available sometime in February.
Explore physics with Snowflake Penny Spinners!
These free Take and Make kits contain a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math)-based craft that families can work on together. With this kit families can explore how spinning tops work through making winter themed penny spinners. This kit also includes printed instructions provided by the Cornell Center for Materials Research.
While supplies last, families can pick up a kit at one of two locations. Beginning Wednesday, December 15, kits will be available at TCPL during open hours. When using curbside pickup, please indicate your interest in a kit when you call to notify us of your arrival. When browsing in the library, simply pick one up in the lobby area. Please contact Library Assistant Joah Tang with any questions at jtang@tcpl.org.
Starting Wednesday, December 15, kits can be picked up at the Sciencenter front desk, at 601 First Street in Ithaca, Wednesday-Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. Contact Annie Gordon with any questions at agordon@sciencenter.org.
