Director Candidate Presentation on September 15
The Tompkins County Public Library Board of Trustees invites the community to a finalist candidate presentation for the position of library director on Thursday, September 15 at 5:30 p.m. Organized by the Library Director Search Committee, the presentation is an opportunity for the public to hear directly from the finalist.
“We have deeply appreciated the public’s engagement in our search for our next library director, and hope the community will join us for this presentation,” say Search Committee Co-Chairs Teresa Vadakin and Nina Scholtz. “This position is of great importance in our community, and we encourage the public to join us and to ask questions.”
The finalist presentation will be available as a live Zoom webinar and will be 20 - 25 minutes, followed by moderated audience Q&A. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit feedback after the presentation.

TCPL’s new director will replace Teresa Vadakin, who is serving as interim director. The national search has garnered applications from dozens of library leaders across the United States who were subsequently vetted by Civil Service and the Library’s search committee of trustees, staff, and representatives from the Tompkins County government, the Tompkins County Public Library Foundation, the Friends of the Tompkins County Public Library, the Finger Lakes Library System, and community members at large.
