About this event:
Join us for an afternoon of learning the fundamentals of networking. Whether you are a newcomer to the U.S. or a local jobseeker, this event brings together both non-native and native English speakers to learn, practice, and apply relevant professional skills ranging from making introductions, small talk, creating an elevator pitch, and building connections with others to increase your network. Stay after the event for a tour of the Tompkins County Public Library and learn about the resources it has to offer.
This event is part of Welcoming America's Welcoming Week, an annual series of events bringing together immigrants and those born within their countries in a spirit of unity and building stronger connections across communities. Co-hosts for the event are Cornell University Community Learning and Service Partnership, Of All Trades, Open Doors English, Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce, Tompkins County Public Library, and Tompkins Workforce Center New York. Of All Trades and Open Doors English are projects of the Center for Transformative Action, a 501(c)(3) in Ithaca.
