“Arc-ivist,” Carla Rae Johnson will introduce you to the two notebook projects currently on display at Tompkins County Public Library in Ithaca, NY. The exhibit includes 89 notebooks which document recent historic moments and respond to the question: Does the “arc of the moral universe” bend towards justice?

Carla Rae collaborated with 74 “arc-ists” in the creation of these two projects: Arc of the Moral Universe (2018-2019) and Arc of the Viral Universe (2021). In this Zoom presentation, she will share images from the notebooks and discuss the origins, processes, and the amazing results for both projects. A Q&A will follow the presentation. Several of the “arc-ists” will be online to share their individual experiences in creating these notebooks.
