About this event:

In celebration of AAPI month, TCPL is offering a free Jianzi (毽子) craft and play event for families and youth ages 7 - 14.

What is Jianzi? It is one of the earliest forms of soccer/football. Jianzi was created in China during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220AD) and has inspired many of the skills found in the modern sports of Jokgu, Freestyle Football, and Hacky Sack/ Footbag. At this event, participants will have the opportunity to make a custom Jianzi, learn basic footwork, and play several games. No soccer/football skills required.
