Quilting Sketches with Artist Therese O.

Artist and Quilter Therese O'Connor will join us for this special one night Quilt Sketch workshop in the Makerspace! Therese's beautiful quilts are on display in the TCPL Avenue of the Friends through the end of June, and will inspire participants to create their own fabric art. Quilt Sketches use small amounts of fabric, thread and other objects to create a fabric piece that can be hung on the wall. Participants can opt to make a recognizable subject, or to work abstractly and experiment. Sewing experience is helpful but not required for participation.

Therese O’Connor is a local artist who began sewing at a young age, and later discovered improvisational quilting in 2002. She enjoys the tactile nature of working with fabric, and the creative possibilities available through color and pattern.
