About this event:
With inspiring prompts and guided exercises, Dr. Katharyn Howd Machan, longtime Ithaca College professor, will lead participants to create new fiction and/or add to work they have already begun. Emphasis will be upon taking risks with the imagination to create new worlds or add to old ones in stories that delight with surprises. No experience in this genre required—just a love of fantasy and a willingness to experiment with words.
Teenagers may register by emailing Dr. Machan at machan@ithaca.edu (especially if there are any questions) OR they are welcome simply to come to the library before 2 p.m. on May 6.
This event is part of the May 3 to May 14th Spring Writes Literary Festival. To see all 40 events, visit SpringWrites.org. Spring Writes is a program of the Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County.
