Program Description

About this event:

Adults are invited to join Brendan Wilbur, of Alternatives Federal Credit Union, for an interactive workshop on living on a fixed income at Tompkins County Public Library, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 18, in the Library’s Digital Lab.   Part of the Library’s Ask a Professional series, this workshop will focus on steps and tools for figuring out regular expenses, preparing for unexpected expenses, understanding credit, and other topics raised by the participants. Workshop participants will need to be prepared to ask the following questions: What do I cost? What do I want to do when I retire? How do I make it all work?   Brendan Wilbur is the Community Programs Manager at Alternatives Federal Credit Union, where he has worked for the past fourteen years. He runs the Financial Wellness programs at Alternatives, specializing in working with families and individuals on their finances and credit report. He enjoys helping others learn money management skills.   Space is limited for this free program; please complete the registration form below.   Funding for this program was provided by a grant through the Finger Lakes Library System.  For more information about this program or the Ask a Professional series, contact Digital Librarian Tom at tfredette@tcpl.org
