Want a chance to win great prizes? Want to read what YOU want and not what someone else is telling you to read?? Participate in the Tompkins County Public Library Teen Summer Reading Challenge for all of this and more!
Register for TCPL’s Summer Reading Challenge and receive a free book of your choice! Come into the library and give us your name, school, grade (in the fall), and e-mail address. Contact Teen Services Librarian Regina at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions about registration.
Pick up a game board at the library when you register or print one off here. Cross off the days that you read at least 20 minutes. Minutes can roll over from do-to-day within a week but NOT from week-to-week. After every 7 days of reading you can bring the game board in for extra chances to win! Once you’ve marked off 65 days of reading, turn in your completed game board and receive two tickets for our prize raffle.
Once you make it halfway through the summer, you’ll earn two tickets for the raffle; earn two more when you finish at the end of summer. If that’s not enough, you have NINE chances to roll the dice – one of the mystery prizes is extra raffle tickets!
The 2014 Teen Summer Reading Program has been made possible by the Tompkins County Public Library Foundation through generous support from the Phyllis and Charles Brodhead Memorial Endowed Fund.
