Tompkins County Public Library's Teen Advisory Group!

Calling all teens interested in making the library work for you!

  • Are you in grades 6-12?
  • Do you have ideas to improve the library's teen services?
  • Do you want to participate in monthly fun activities?
  • Do you love to read, write book reviews, and learn about new books?

If you answered "yes" to the above questions, we want you to become a member of the Tompkins County Public Library's Teen Advisory Group (T.A.G) and assist us in providing an exciting teen department, one that works for you.

Submit an online application, visit the Youth Services Reference Desk, or Call Shawn Grant @ 607-272-4557 ext 274 if you are interested.

What does the T.A.G group do?

Tag members support and increase awareness of teen services and assist in decisions that help provide an exciting teen environment and have a lot of fun through:

  • Developing and assisting with programming for students their age
  • Bringing teens into the library through spreading the word about books, the library, and its programs
  • Writing book reviews
  • Suggesting titles for purchase
  • Volunteering at special events
  • Attending monthly meetings and activities
  • Fundrasing
  • Working on Library projects
