The Library offers private training sessions to learn basic skills needed to fully use all of the features of our Internet PCs. Learn how to:
- Play CDs and DVDs
- Write files to CDs and flash drives
- Save files to the desktop
- Open software programs
Internet Training Sessions
To help you discover the wealth of information services open to you on the Internet, the Tompkins County Public Library is offering individualized training sessions to teach you the skills required to search for information on the Internet. The instructor will review how to use Internet browsers, how to obtain and use an e-mail account and more.
Please Note! Each patron is limited to two Internet training sessions in a six month period.

Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing®
For Library use only on designated computers. Improve your keyboarding skills. Use Library computers and practice on your own. This program has been installed on the Adult Word/Excel computers and the Teen computers.
PowerPAC Training
Get help using the Library's Online Catalog - Training on how to search for library resources using our library catalog (Powerpac) is always available from our Reference Librarian.

- Perform Inter-library loans
