General OneFile (Gale) In the Library or from home with a library card
For researchers at all levels, is a general periodical database containing over 12,000 periodicals, newspapers, reference books and multimedia sources, over half of which are full text. The backfile extends nearly 30 years. Subjects include humanities, education, environmental issues, technology, health care, politics and more. In addition General OneFile features 500+ travel guides as well as full-text sports, travel, fashion, gardening, children’s and general interest popular magazines.

Google Books and Magazines
Having undertaken the digitization of books, Google has now turned its attention to magazines. Full text archives, mostly ending in the late 1990s, can be accessed for Life Magazine, New York Magazine, Popular Science, Jet, Ebony, and the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists and more. To search just for magazine articles, go the advanced book search screen and check the "magazines" button.

The Ithaca Journal is a daily newspaper serving Ithaca, and the surrounding Tompkins County area. This database offers indexing and full-text to the Ithaca Journal from Nov 26, 2002 - present.

The Ithaca Journal is older than The New York Times, tracing its origin to 1815. The Journal's original name was The American Journal. In 1912 The Journal was sold to Frank Gannett. In 1964 The Ithaca Journal was awarded a Pulitzer Prize special citation for meritorious public service. The Ithaca Journal converted to a morning paper in May 1996. While the masthead reads The Ithaca Journal, when the newspaper merged with The Daily News in 1919 the legal name became The Ithaca Journal-News.
