Press & Media Policies

1. The Library Director, or in her absence, the Assistant Director, will act as the spokesperson for the library.

2. All press releases, library ads, publications and public service announcements must be approved by the Library Director before release.

3. The President of the Library Board of Trustees may also speak on behalf of the library.

4. Media requests for interviews, quotes or photographs from other TCPL staff must be approved in advance by the Library Director.

5. Those who wish to interview, film or photograph library users in the library, or those who wish to film or photograph the library itself, must first receive authorization from the Library Director or designee.  To protect patron confidentiality and privacy, and to reduce potential disruptive activity, the Library Director will limit this activity.  Written parental permission must be secured before children are photographed, filmed or interviewed.
