The Read-To-Me program encourages parents, family members, caregivers, even expecting parents, to foster a love of books by reading aloud to their children right from the start.
June 27 – August 30, 2014
Stop by our Youth Services Department starting in mid-June to pick up your Read-Aloud Bingo Card featuring fun ideas on incorporating early literacy activities into your everyday routines. Mark or color in the squares as you complete the activities. Incorporate any 10 out of the 15 activities into your everyday routines to receive a free book to take home and to be entered into a raffle for a chance to win prizes!

Reading aloud to your little one promotes bonding and calmness; it increases attention span and memory; promotes listening skills and increases the number of vocabulary words your baby/child hears and helps them understand their meaning, just to name a few! And, most importantly, reading aloud encourages a love of books and learning that can last a lifetime.
