Informal Weekly Conversation Groups
Free, drop-in sessions to help non-English speaking residents and visitors meet their personal goals through English conversation and language exercises in small groups.
October 1 - November 19, 2014 (October 22 session meets in the large study room.)
3:15 - 4:30 PM
Borg Warner West
Goals of these meetings:
- To offer a relaxed setting to converse in English and gain comfort in speaking and oral communication
- To help participants seek and find resources at the Library and in the community
- To share information about the Tompkins County Public Library, Ithaca and surrounding community which will enrich the language and cultural experiences of participants.
These meetings will be informal. There is no homework or assignments. We hope that you will present ideas that will be valuable to the group as well. If you are unable to attend one week, that is O.K. Join us when you can!
If you feel that you need any assistance with your speaking or understanding of English, then please join us! If you would simply like to get involved but already have good English language skills, please feel welcome to join as well.
The Library will provide light refreshments. All ages are welcome!
Registration is NOT required. Drop in and talk a while.
This is a Library-sponsored program.
