Living Light: A Celebration of the Finger Lakes Flora

Living Light - A Celebration of the Finger Lakes Flora

Organized by the Finger Lakes Native Plant Society (FLNPS), this juried art exhibit will highlight the beauty and diversity of our region’s native plants and feature works in a variety of media. On display at the Tompkins County Public Library January 19 through March 26, the opening reception is being held in conjunction with Light In Winter Gallery Opening Night from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday January 22, 2009.

FLNPS, founded in Ithaca in 1997, regularly sponsors lectures, field trips, and special events—all free and open to the public. The group’s mission is to teach people about native plants, the importance of conservation, and the threat of invasive species. FLNPS also publishes a quarterly newsletter for members and provides many plant-related resources.

Please see more information on workshops being held in conjunction with the exhibit.
