For high school students and adults

As part of the community read of Antigone, the Tompkins County Public Library will host a mask making workshop on Saturday, October 11, between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The mask making workshop will give participants a chance to make a simple mask in time for Halloween. Each mask will be built upon a plaster bandage casting of the mask maker's own face. The library will supply materials and you will bring ideas and imagination. Participants should come dressed in clothing which can get messy.

The workshop will be lead by mask making students from the Department of Theatre Arts at Ithaca College. These students have all studied mask making with Antigone mask maker, Norm Johnson.
